Our professional service applies durable gripper pods to your shoes, giving you the most reliable traction on the ice. Whether you’re a recreational player or a competitive curler, having a properly installed gripper is essential for balance, stability, and safety.

How the Process Works

1. Print and attach the installation tag to your shoe(s).

2. Include your order number.

3. Place your shoe(s) in a box.
   Bring the box to a courier service and pay for “door to door” or “signature required” shipping services to the following address:
   BalancePlus Curling Equipment
   Unit #1, 99 Hooper Rd.
   Barrie, ON Canada
   L4N 9S3
   Purchasing insurance for the replacement value of the shoe(s) is recommended.
   The shipping amount in your cart will cover the transportation of the package back to the shipping address listed on your order after the installations have been completed.

4. We complete the installation and return them to you. Return shipping is included in your order, and all packages are sent back to the address on your order. For shipments outside Canada, follow the customs instructions provided below to avoid extra duties.

Shipments from outside Canada must be marked:
– $1 value for Customs.
– TEMPORARY IMPORT FOR ALTERATION AND REPAIR

If you have to fill out a USPS Customs Declaration and Dispatch Note:
– Please check the boxes: “Returned Goods”, “Merchandise”, “Other” and write “Temporary import for service”
– Fill out the HS Tariff Number with 9992.00

*Any additional duties incurred by BalancePlus will be charged to you if these conditions are not met.

**Important Notes – Curling Gripper Installation**

• Other shoe brands incur a $25 sole preparation fee and will include a stitched BalancePlus label.

• Gripper pods are permanently glued on shoes that are not BalancePlus, for long-lasting durability.

• We recommend purchasing shipping insurance equal to your shoe’s replacement value.

Care & Maintenance

Grippers are like tires — they wear out with use and need replacement to keep you safe. Extend the life of your gripper shoe by washing regularly with mild soap and water. This helps maintain traction, keeps dirt off the ice, and ensures consistent performance.

Note: Other Shoe(s) brands incur a sole preparation fee of $25.00, will have a mandatory black “BalancePlus” label stitched to the the exterior side of the shoe under the eyelets and Gripper Pods will be permanently glued to the sole.
